New Pics of my car
Sorry for the car being dirty. I didn't plan on taking any pics today. Just dropped the top and decided to have a little fun with boost since the weather was nice. My car is in need of major paint correction to fix the swirl marks caused by the previous owner. It has been in the shop for almost a year, and just out for 2 months, so I have been focusing on racing at first. Now, I will focus on fixing the paint, etc.
The pics were taken on my phone, so the quality is poor. However, this place where the pics where taken has a long history with me. It's above one of the oldest nightclubs in Houston where we I used my older brothers ID at 15 to get in to. That was over 15 years ago.

LOL, you guys crack me up.
Yeah, they are 17x9 inch wheels in the back with 295/45 MT's. I bought them black. I also had a set of C5Z front wheels that matched the car better. I need 17 inch wheels out back, so I am limited to what I can run. I have considered painting the fronts, or getting C5 wagon wheels for the fronts and painting them black to make it match better.
It's a purpose driven set up, not the most appealing, but it is needed to put the power down without a wide booty setup.

That is why I buy cars, Steve. Probably why I'm not a big car show guy. I like to see cars moving down some type of track. Still haven't been "officialy" as fast as you, but never know when I might show up to the Mile since my build wasn't finished last year. Much respect for you, Art, and Arnold.
My corvette doesn't appeal to the 95% of vette owners I see on the road. However, it does take care of business the majority of the time. Never bought it to have 20's out back or look awesome, but just for a single purpose, to go, real, real fast.

You need to invest in a set of 18x9.5 and 17x9.5 C5 Deep Dish wheels.
Would look tremendously sexy and let you run the same setup. You've put too much into that car to not look good while fast
Less than 600 bucks for the set shipped. I had them on my WS6 in Chome and they look so, so good. Very similar to the CCW 500

Car looks awesome Mark. You won't win any car show with it, but I can damn well guarantee you'll out run every car at said car show
+1 on the wheels Shawn posted though--it would do wonders for the car and the overall appeal when not going 9s at the track.
I can understand where you're coming from--every time I see something I want for my car that is shiny or pretty (MGW shifter for example), my first thought is, 'what can I buy instead to make it go faster?' and I usually go for the go-fast goodies.
A 10 sec daily driver is so 1999--9 second daily drivers are now the new standard, at least in my opinion of a truly fast street car.
Personally, I'd rather go fast, than look fast, but at some point, when you're fast enough, you gotta throw in just a touch of show to match the tremendous go.
Keep it up, it is impressive.
