Default Removing Rearview Mirror Plug

How do you remove the power plug on the back of the rear view mirror. I know there is a tab on top, but I can't get my hand behind it to pull out the plug. I don't want to pull on the power cord for fear of pulling the wires out. Trying to install Blendmount radar detector bracket

I have an 07 Coupe... I turned my mirror facing upwards and was easily able to reach the release tab with my fat fingers and push it while pulling on the connector. Came right out.

Yep, just move the mirror over all the way to the right.

Turn the mirror as noted above, but you may also need to wiggle the connector side-to-side while pushing on the tab and pulling it out. On my car it was very snug.

When you guys are pulling on the connector, are you pulling on the wires or the connector itself. I can't get a grip on the connector and don't want to pull too hard on the wires. Should not be this difficult.

You can grab the wires and/or the connector or both together, but you absolutely have to get the tab depressed for either approach to work.

Hold the mirror with your free hand, you don't want to yank it out of it's mount.

And as was stated above, wiggle the connector from side to side. It is a tight fitting connector.
