Default Got a new ride: 2012 Corvette Grand Sport Centennial Edition

Was having some issues with the "old" 2011 convertible vette and decided to "make it go away" by trading in.

Got a smoking deal on the trade ($2K MORE than I originally paid for it, because I literally stole it...LOL) and a great deal on the new one. Can I help you buy your next car? Wife says I should charge people to do that...LOL...anyway, like the title says, it's a 2012 Corvette Grand Sport Centennial Edition Coupe, 3LT, 6-speed manual, etc. Drives like a dream, I love it (and so does the wife)! Vette **** for your viewing pleasure....

Beautiful! As I always tell anyone who compliments my Vette, " And it runs as good as it looks!"

Thank you all for the kind words. It's not broke in yet...but wow, it runs nicely! The brakes and handling are amazing! Seats are more comfy too!

I like the way you made the 2011 problems go away. It's a beauty. Congrats.

Nice pics of the car. What town is that in? Looks like hardly nobody lives there, where's the traffic?

It's Muenster, TX (NW of the DFW area, near the OK border). It's slow on a Sunday afternoon. Last time I was there (after Cars & Coffee in November) the WHOLE street was full of hot rods, vettes, etc. They had their car show, it was nice! I like the roads in the area, as well as Fischer's...they have a GREAT meat market/deli. Excellent German food!

did you buy your 2011 brand new?

how did you manage to turn it for a profit? that just doesn't seem possible.

I'm a magician! Just kidding, I bought it cheap, it was new, but a display car at the state fair, had 140 miles or so on it, the dealer netted it out, then gave me a $3k rebate to boot on top of it. Sticker on the '11 was $57,040, got it for $45,500 and traded it in for $47,500. Had a buddy in the business run the VIN and mileage to get the black book numbers, that info saves me some serious $$$ EVERY time! It really doesn't matter what you pay for the car, in the end, it matters what it is worth (come trade-in/selling time). Buying it right makes a big difference!

I bet this is a Lewis Chevy in Canton deal. He has some great prices.

I had to drive out of my zip code (only found 2 GS Centennials in the metroplex, the other was an auto) but not that far...got it at Young Chevy, East Dallas. Never thought I would drive to East Dallas to get a vette, especially a Centennial! If you've ever been to East Dallas, you would probably understand what I'm posting...my wife's two great aunts live a few miles away...when they bought their place in the early 60's it was nice and "out in the sticks" from Dallas...things change. Windows up, doors locked, guns loaded.
