Default RIPDesigns splash guards install pics

Ordered a set from RPIDesigns, got a freshly painted set. Matches 2012 yellow perfectly!
Instructions suck Sorry Josh at RPI, but they really do!!
Here's a set of pics on what they look like.

Holy cow! No offense, but I wouldn't put that in a Civic, let alone a Vette. But to each his own.
GM makes splash guards for the regular Vettes, no?

Please tell me this is not what we've been waiting for with GS fronts from RPI.

Gad's!! I have been praying for a set for an 09 Z06 - but, not those. There are so many vette owners looking for this product I can't figure-out why nobody has stepped-up to the plate. If you vette after market guys are reading this - think 09 Z06 front splash guards that replicate the OEM rears.

No thanks! I seriously hope the GS/Z06 ones are better. There is definitely a market for low price, good looking front splash guards for the GS/Z06. Instead we have ones that chip easily and cost $350 by the time you are done with shipping.

Joe, not a horrible alternative but the GM ones that you can pick up for under 100 bucks look alot better and look factory.

I actually had the same set on mine until I got ragged on about them and saw the GM ones.

I got a VY coupe a few weeks ago and it looks to be high maintenance on keeping clean compared to my TR C5. Splash guards seem to be a good idea but I agree these are not the ones. How are the GM ones to install?

How much "instruction" do you really need to install those?

OP, Josh (RPI) also offers the OEM style splash guards (non-widebody) painted body color if you prefer or you can get them in the standard black plastic for about $100 from the GM parts guys (i.e. GMPartshouse, PartsTaxi, etc.). Much better solution than the one you picked imo. The OEM style look like they belong on the C6.

RPI OEM style - body color

As far as the RPI Z06/GS front splash guards that are in development, the following is info I got directly from Josh when I asked him what his design will look like…

Hello

Yes, we are going to make our version more like what is on the rear of the car. Smaller, less like an SUV.

Thanks
Josh

He did not give me any indication on how he will price these yet.
