Mid-life crisis. Psh.
So I've had my vette a couple of weeks now. I'm 38. Love the car, gets lots of compliments and thumbs up on the road.
I know you shouldn't listen to what others are saying, and not sure if I should be offended, but I've had several people say, "oh, having a midlife crisis eh?".
First, I think I'm too young for a midlife crisis secondly I didn't go from a minivan to a vette. I've slowly increased my quality of vehicle as I have been able to and have always had some form of sportscar.
Just venting I guess, but it just annoys me.

You know people in an effort to connect with others often say stupid things. It's like when you're out front washing your car and your neighbor says, 'I'll bring mine by so you can wash it next'. And you force a laugh and say, 'Yes, I'll get right on it'.
The whole mid-life crisis thing is as clever as that. Something neighbors and friends have been saying ever since there were cars probably.

Yeah the comments will be.....either your parents bought you the car, it is your mom or dads car or you are having a mid life crisis. They are the people who have an answer to everything, even if there is no problem.
But seriously, everyone who makes any of the above comments WAS previously dropped on their head. So there!

One of the best come backs I heard for that one is "A midlife crisis would be if I couldn't afford one"

I manage a Starbucks and a customer asked me the other day if that was my vette outside. I said yeah, just got it. They were like, didn't know Starbucks paid so well. I said, yeah, not too bad, you want to add an extra shot of espresso to that drink or what? Need to pay for that ride ya know.

I just got mine last May and hear that often along with the small d^^k jokes. It is quickly forgotten when I jump in the vette and put it in first.

I was told I was in a mid life crisis and I am 30.
Those who say you have a small **** are the same who cant afford the car and those who say you are having a mid life crisis cant either.

If having a love for owning and building nice looking and fast cars is a mid-life crisis, I must have started my crisis as age 16!
Granted they do get a little nicer and a little faster as you age.
