I couldn't take the "shower curtain" flapping around anymore!!!...
I bought a brand new spare cargo shade (shower curtain) from a forum member for $20 shipped and hacked the flapper off!!!
I don't know about you guys, but I've been irritated by this since I bought my 1st C6 (Z06) back in early '09. I enjoy driving my car with the windows down and after 40mph the flapping is/was just unbearable. The jumping around back there was very distracting since it would flap up high enough to catch my view in the rear view, on top of the noise.
I finally had enough and experimented with the spare. Most of the function is to shield the view of any cargo through the huge window so I wasn't really too concerned about the privacy through the side windows. There's only a small space in the center of the seats that anyone would have a chance to see anything, and that's only if their nose is pressed against the window, so that's a non-issue.
It's a very clean look, and its woven so tight that there's little chance of dangling threads. I did take the extra precaution of taking a lighter to the edge to seal the deal (it seems to be a polyester/plastic type of material)
Here's the before and after.

Funny, I was just thinking about this when I saw the Motor Trend video of the black Z07 going around Laguna Seca....fastest lap of the group, including the 458 Italia, but still saw the shower curtain flapping around in the shots of the driver...

Great minds think alike!
I did the same thing shortly after I bought my car 9 months ago.

+1. The flapper has annoyed me from day one. I plan on hacking mine out this weekend.
I also have wondered why GM didn't put a bungie type end on each side of it and two little hooks on the floor of the hatch so you could lock it down... Kinda like the ends of the cargo net. Wouldn't made sense if you ask me.

I have that partition too, and I remember stealing your idea to add the Corvette badge. Looks great, thanks. However, the "shower curtain" still gets bunched up around it. I like the idea of cutting it off with scissors. I took a look at it today. The partition works to keep everything back there hidden.

It is kind of a pain in the azz to close the hatch on windy days and keep the "curtain" behind the partition,I think I will have the girlfriend cut and hem the edge for me on her machine.
