Have you gone on YouTube and search Corvette vs Supra?
Those Supra's with their inline 6 cyl. turbo is kicking a lot of Corvette a$$!
Why??

Toyota way overbuilt that motor. You can put huge turbos on that car. I don't think they handle all that well though.
I would much rather have a modified 3rd generation RX-7 over a modified Supra

It has a strong engine. When you have a turbo you can tune to get more power, also just put in a bigger turbo and your good to go. BMW 335 same deal a tune can get you 400hp and add larger turbos.

They are fast and that base 6 is well built and can take the massive overboosted turbos. But, don't count Corvettes out. I know a lot of guys with LS1's, LS2's and LS3's that run in the 10's with only a cam, heads and headers. We're not even talking about turbo's or superchargers.

Most supras make about 1200 HP but even if a supra kicks Corvette *** which car is still in production I guess its obvious right. So regardless of how fast a car goes that factor wont keep in production its like comparing our cars to Ferrari's of course the Corvette is an equal to Ferrari in all performance statistics but that doesn't explain why Ferrari's cost more and anyone who says there overpriced hasn't driven one. So to me there's a automotive food chain and the supras not on the top due to being extinct. And lets face it why would buggatti build a w16 quad Turbo engine that's 8.0 liters if they can build the same amount of power with a straight six I think its because nobody with any common sense wants a 1.7 million dollar car to have a six cylinder engine

BTW ask jaguar how the twin Turbo v6 xj220 sold and you'll have your answer. The supra 300zx rx7 and the 3000gt were all priced the same as a Corvette in 1995. The Corvette put them all out of production just facts not hate

I was a HPDE driving instructor where one of my students brought a built Supra. He had the turbos turned down to only 600 HP (as low as it would go). That thing was a rocket.
Handled rather well too.

Can you tell us where you got your "fact".
Why hasn't Corvette put the 370Z out of production?

It's the engine with those turbos.
Put an intake, cam gears, down pipe, exhaust, and boost controller on those things and they're eating Vipers. All for 2 grand.
Put a single Turbo setup on one and you're killing and then some.
That's with stock internals. I've always wanted one but happy as can be with my Corvette.

I had a 370Z before I traded it in for the vette. It was a nice car with nice lines and pretty fast too. Just not fast enought for me but I love the body of it. I still miss it at times. The interior was a little better too.
