Default 2013 427 Convertible Retail Pricing

Looks like the 2013 427 Corvette Convertible "60th anniversary edition" will retail for ~$90k. General Motor started their "win a trip to Le Mans, France and a 427 Corvette Convertible - 60th Annv edition" contest. In the rules and regulation they list the retail value at $90k. The following quote is a direct copy from the rules and regulations.

"A 2013 Chevrolet 427 Corvette Convertible 60th Anniversary Special Edition.
Approximate Retail Value ("ARV"): $90,000."

http://chevrolet.promo.eprize.com/co...ment/rules.pdf

This is less then the $100k others have been quoting.

By the time the Z07 package as well as CFZ, and 4LT interior options are added along with the rest of the good stuff I still say this one loaded is between $105,000 and $110,000....again loaded.

Scott

Priced at 90K sounds about right.

Can you still get the Z07 package? Is it still available?

And especially on this particular car, because you wouldn't be able to put in on most tracks anyway without a roll cage, as it is a convertible?

Seems to me that if you bought it, and got the Z07 package on it, that it would be a real bummer if it had those carbon ceramic brakes and other Z07 goodies on it, and most road courses wouldn't even let you on because it was a convertible.

All of the pics I have seen of this car, show it with the steel rotors.

Z07 package had carbon ceramic rotors.

Z07 and CFZ options are only available on the Z06. The 427 Convertible is not a Z06. It is a base convertible with some of the Z06/ZR1 parts(engine, body panels and brakes/wheels/tires).

This is what happens when people use the wrong name for a car, as it just confuses everyone. The 427 Convertible is not a Z06 convertible, and calling it a Z06 convertible will not make it a Z06 convertible.

If interested, available options for the 2013 Corvette line per the recently released "2013 Corvette Order Guide" (released March 5th 2012).

http://www.corvetteblogger.com/docs/...rder-guide.pdf

The different models are displayed in the upper right corner for each section. (i.e. Coupes & Conv; Grand Sports; 427, Z06, and ZR1)

Good points Joe.

Probably why they didn't call it a Z06. Z06, the owner can put it on any track if he desired to do so. With this convertible, that's not the case.

A "Z06" which might not be allowed onto your favorite local track, would have been a marketing disaster.

Who ever heard of a "Z06" that you couldn't track if you wanted to? That would have been a nightmare for GM, and the Z06 legacy.

It would have been the first "Z06" in history, which could have ended up being declared "unfit" for track duty at many tracks when the owner showed up to track the car.

However we both know that people won't stop referring to this car as a Z06 convertible.

It's a great car and I would love to have either, but the vert is not a Z06.

From recent Posts here on the Forum, I think we figured out that to get the 60th Package you also have to take the 4LT because of the interior. So, I am hoping the 4LT pricing is already included in the 90K price tag...

90k before incentives and dealer discounts. If sales continue to disappoint across the C6 platform I doubt prices will be 90k >

Go to the Chevrolet Corvette web site the first picture on the page is the 2013 427 Corvette. Click on arrow and you will be directed to the 427 site. They have a 60th anniversary package available. Under the third picture down from the top click on "gallery". You get a good view of the emblems/badges.

I agree. Even though I can afford it, this is where GM is losing me. At 100k+ there some affordable used exotics that could be fun. Also, in two years, you'll be lucky to sell it for half that.

If you don't want to pay the price, don't buy the car. That's the American way.

If the marketplace thinks GM has priced the car too high, it won't sell and GM will have to lower it.

I believe that's called "free market capitalism".

If you prefer socialism, that's a whole 'nother story.
