Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus ZP, update ..
I posted my thoughts on a new set of Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus ZP tires almost 3 weeks ago.
Only had a few days use on them and then had to travel ( without the Vette for 2 weeks.
For the short the time I drove with them, I did like the Michelin's but being so used to the OEM GY base ( GS-2 ) tires, I had mixed thoughts about them at the time.
They do transform the way the car feels and rides.
But back at home now, and driving it the last 2 days, I can honestly say I Really like the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus ZP tires.
The ride is the biggest, Noticeable Improvement
No more slight banging when hitting bridge expansions or any irregularities in the road surface like I would get with the GY's.
Barring anything drastic like deep holes etc, the Michelin A/S respond with a quiet thump and a complete overall smoother ride.
I did get to push the tires more for handling/grip, and this was in 35 to 55 degree temperatures.
I will say the Michelin's have totally different feedback, but they performed as good as the GY's taking into account we're talking street use and not pushing the limits.
I doubt I would use these tires if I was to Track the car
But I would recommend these to anyone looking for great all around ride and handling.

I have had mine on for a year now, about 4K miles, and I love them.
I do drive quickly, and while I have the A6, I always drive in sport mode.
I can quickly down shift. Generally from 4th to 2nd when taking a corner, and these babies stick like glue.
I really can't compare the GY's as the car had 10K on it when I bought it. Only 6 months old at the time. I think he lived in the car. I was never
able to do the manuvers on them that I am able to do on the A/S now.
The car is generally only driven in warm weather, FL in winter and CT in summer. I ship it between. So you would think that the A/S would be the wrong tire, and noisy. Definitely not so.
The advice I received from a Mich rep was right on.

Only had them for a couple of weeks now. First thing you notice is you no longer hear the tires. Perhaps the GY,s were this quiet and smooth riding when they were new but I doubt it. No rain yet but I am sure they will outperform the GY,s on wet road.
With the GY,s on the inside of the car the sound level and the ride seemed like that of a race car(or so I imagine) 09C6 w/Z51
With the Michelin tires its more like a luxury car ride sound and ride.
I have not tried to push the tires to the limits yet but I have went around some on/off ramps at a very good pace just kind of feeling them out.
Grip test will be at Talladega next month

I had the AS ZP runflats on my last vette and at 25k miles still looked new. They were so much quieter and they were rock solid at freeway speeds in a heavy downpour that lasted 100 miles coming back from Vegas.
Without a doubt they are going on the new car when the GY's are done.

OK, one last bit of feedback ...
At the risk of being redundant I'll post my latest impression of these tires.
Since I put the Mich A/S tires on it hasn't been above 50-55 degrees out.
They've been great, but being the first fairly warm day at 67 degrees with the Sun shining, I can't believe how Great these tires ride.
Even more noticeable improvement in warmer weather

You have:
Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 ZP (Max Performance Summer) tires
I have:
Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus ZP (Ultra High Performance All-Season)

I've put 6-7k miles on mine and like them a lot for a daily driver. When you push them really hard in the corners on the street, the front tires give a lot more than the OEM Goodyears did. If you don't drive over about 80% of the capability of the car you won't notice any difference. I personally would not use them for any type of track use.

Thanks for the post. I am trying to decide what tires to go with on my new wheels. I know that I don't want run flats. I have the Invos on my short list, but I am not liking their tread life.
My Vette doesn't see rain & is not a daily, though.
