You can speculate and wait forever for prices to drop...too many variables IMO.
Figure out how long you want to be without driving your Corvette...

We haven't discussed this in about 10 days or so.

Even if the price of the C7 is the same as the C6 the C7 will be around 10-15% more expensive because dealers will have trouble letting them go for less than sticker at first. This may cause an initial increase in new/used C6 prices.

Just buy a C6 now. Waiting is like timing the stock market. Most people are usually wrong. So buy a C6 and start enjoying it now.

Agreed. The most of your "price drop" has occurred. Chevy has plenty of incentives on Corvette anticipating the transition to C7. Good deals offered now with plenty of inventory around.

The longer you wait, the cheaper they will get. So, if you wait forever, you can get one for nothing. The best deal is always one someone else got so make the best deal you can and enjoy the ride! Don't forget to wave!

Two things are certain. First, something new will always come along. Second, prices will always go down with time. Taking those two things in to account will leave you on the sidelines waiting and wondering about your new Corvette. Just get in the game. Pick a car that you like and a price that you are comfortable spending and just do it. Life is too short.

I agree with the others; buy what you can afford now and enjoy it.

IMO, the problem with speculating on future prices is that price is based on supply and demand. I've only had a Corvette for six months but from what I've seen/heard in that time is that when the C7's come out, the C4/C5 owners think the C6 will be a better buy and you will have a new group of competitors going after the good used C6's. This will raise price and reduce good inventory and you will still be hunting while we drive by waving at the other Vette owners.

One more day you wait to buy is one more day you're unable to cruise around with the top down.

Think the c6's will take a major hit price wise once the c7 arrives?
Nope.

Life is not a dress rehearsal....go out and live it. Buy yourself a car...enjoy the hell out of it....if you want a C7 when it comes out, trade it....The way to get it done is to stop talking and start doing...you will say "Why did I wait so long??!?!?"

So Paul...help me find my car already too!!!

By being so obsessed with getting the lowest possible price on a Corvette you're essentially taking yourself out of the market. You need to decide whether or not you really want to own one. If so, then find one you like and buy it. It's not as difficult as you're making it out to be.

I am no expert
Seems to me prices have risen on used C6's since I started looking last March. Bought in July last year

Look for low mileage one owner cars if you buy used, unless you find a super bargain on one with higher miles

Roll Tide!
