Default 2013's are on the lot!

I might wait until late December 2012 to pickup a 2013 though, the deals will be better then. December 2013 is too much of a wait for a leftover 2012 or 2013!

Wouldn't get a 1st year C7, maybe 2017 or 2018 when work they bugs out and the turbo 5.5 V8 is out for the 2nd or 3rd year ...

Kerbeck has the 2013's on the floor!

that rocks!! Did you just see them today or did they arrive earlier? I jumped on the Kerbeck site and he's advertising 240 2013's in stock already!

Wonder if any of my local dealers received some too. I'll have to call around in the morning!

If it was daylight when you saw them, did you see any in Night Race Blue?

That's fantastic they are arriving that soon after the hold was released on May 31.

Actually due to CAFE and Gas Guzzler Tax we might start seeing smaller displacement engines w/ turbos to help w/ those issues. I'm not against it. My only concern is the final HP and Torque #s.

Turbos have come a loooonnngg way in the last 10 years. Both reliable and efficient.
Think Ford EcoBoost 3.5 V6.

Plus, living at 1 mile high, the turbos are actually better than NA all else being equal.

I think I saw a post here ysterday or the day before that said there were about 1900 or so fewer Corvettes in the 2012 Model year than the 2011. I dont think there are any Official numbers out yet...

Same old stuff, waiting for the C7 and not worried about working out all the bugs. If that were the case as people believe on CF C7 sales will be zero year one.

I agree. I had two 2005 C6's. They were the most trouble free cars I have ever owned.

if you have seen chevy's add in magazines direct injection is gonna be across the board in chevy engines......the motor has been downsized in the vet racing cars to 5.5 liters to comply with new rules.....willing to bet c-7(base) will be 5.5 liters with direct injection..........

Turbos & Superchargers both have pros and cons. Like anything, there will be good applications of both. I have a 2012 BMW 550 with a twin turbo V8. Five years ago I would have never imagined a turbo car with no lag. But it's a hell of an engine.

From my post made saturday.....

"The total number of 2012 C6's built were 11,647, compared to 13,596 2011's that were produced.

94 2012's were built in May, 2012, finishing the 2012 production run, and 1,479 2013's were built in May, 2012. So far, through May 31, 2012, 1,548 2013's have been built."

That's what many people said about the first year 2005 C6. Year's ago I did a poll of 2005 C6 owners and the overwhelming majority (90+%) were extremely satisfied with their car and considered it to be reliable. Refinements are made with each model year and any year car can have problems. Even the crank-bolt issue supposedly affecting early VIN 2005's afflicts C6's from succeeding model years. Despite hard track use my (modified) 2005 has been very reliable and trouble-free.

I respect your opinion but if the C6 is any gauge for the C7 I wouldn't hesitate to buy a first year C7.
