Default Driveway Fix- Scraping the front end.

I was out jogging this morning when I saw this on someone's driveway. What do you guys think? Will it stop the front end from scraping the driveway or just help getting over the curb? Is it worth the money?
Make sure to click "Change Vehicle". It actually uses an image of a Corvette.

Are you scraping your front end or air dam? Anyway I don't think the ramp will work. I tried something similar.

Yep, I scrape the air dam. I've changed it twice in 3 years.

Initially I built a ramp for my driveway. It worked, but it wasn't convenient having to place it and remove it. Finally, I paid a contractor to cut the curb and redo the end of my driveway. Cost me about $1500.

It's supposed to scrape which I'm sure you know. The front splitter on my Z scrapes every time I back out. I'll just do the same as you and replace it one of these days.

It might work, but its looks kind of easy to steal. Not sure how long that would stay around with the local kids driving around.

I'm just gonna get some diamond plate steel from a company near where I live. I'm getting 2 pieces, 4' long, 1' wide. It should cover the right side of my driveway...

They are heavy, will allow water to run under them and stay in place when they clean the streets, oh, and they will handle alot of weight.....

The price: $10 per Sq Ft = $80

I used to live in Arkansas and i saw people's driveways that had a 2-inch pvc pipe laid down right where the driveway meets the road (for drainage) and then concrete poured over that to smooth the transition. Pending what HOA type rules you might have where you live, it looked like a cool deal and not really an eyesore either.

Worth a shot?

It depends on the type of curve you have at the end of your driveway. That part wouldn't fit in mine and I would have to remove it every winter because it would end up in pieces on the lawn after the snow plow cleaned it out of the gutter.

I think I would just get out there and mix some concrete and pour in the low areas. Then it is permanent.
