How does Inferno Orange compare to Atomic Orange.
I know paint color likes and dislikes are very subjective. I once had a fellow forum member refer to my Atomic Orange paint as reminding him of the oil that drops off his pizza. Hey I love it so wth. Having never seen the Inferno orange in person I would appreciate some input from those that have. Is it higher in metal flake content,or redder in hue etc.?

I've seen a number of them, and under certain light, it looks very red.
There was one running pace duty last weekend at Road America, for the AMA Superbike races. A few people said "hey look, a little red Corvette!"
I told them it was actually orange.
I will add, I love both oranges.

I know a manager of a clothing store who has an Atomic Orange vette and last week while I was getting my oil changed at the dealer I spent a good deal of time on the lot looking at new GS models. One was inferno orange. To me it is truely orange whereas the atomic orange has a more coppery look to it and it looks deeper than th einferno orange.
I like both but I would much prefer the atomic orange.

A lot of guys calls the Inferno Orange....tomato red, which is prettty close. The Inferno is growing on me as I see more of them, but the Atomic Orange, especially in a Z, is a knock out.

Like they said above, Inferno is much redder but has a nice metallic shine to it in the sun. I much prefer Atomic Orange, but may have to go with the Inferno to get a 427 convertible. I think tomato red is a very accurate description.

We have an Atomic Orange and this weekend we went to a show and were parked right across from an Inferno Orange. I like both colors. To my eye Atomic Orange is more metallic than Inferno Orange, and Inferno has more of a pearl hue to it with smaller finer metallic in it than Atomic. The Inferno is closer to orange, but with more red in it than Atomic. The Atomic as another poster said above, leans to the copper side of orange. Both colors shade very nicely and change depending upon the amount of sunlight on them and the angle that it is hitting.

Its something you really need to see in person. It can very from really bright orange metallic.. to almost a dark brownish rust orange. The lighting makes all the difference.
Just stop by a dealership, they sell the colour on other cars including the Camaro.

IO is a couple of clicks to the orange side of Torch Red. IMO it has a moderate amont of flake. Closer to true orange than AO (A hint of brown) and DSOM ( tomato soup) in a good way.

Or compare these, my IO, cloudy day looks a little red, Sunny days WOW it pops with the Gold Metallic looks Orange, with a hint of Yellow, Gold and Red. You actually have to see it in person to really appreciate the Color.

AO is the color of the University of Texas (Burnt Orange: they don't allow any to be driven in College Station... )
IO is very much purer orange.
Just my opinion... If I had to have an orange Vette it would be IO.

You have to see it in person on a nice day like I did this past Saturday. I actully saw a couple AO's and 1 IO and the IO is an AMAZING color!!! No where near RED. Not sure wht you guys are talking about. Maybe at night or under clouds it could have that effect. What I saw Now AO on the other side is boring and flat IMO

Traded my IOM Camaro for my current GS last week.
It would look red at under certain light. Not sure if they are the same paint mix for the two but from my understanding the IOM was a mix of about 60% Hugger Orange 20% that copper GM has used and 20% red like you find on the Pontiac Solstice. They were trying to mimic the Hugger Orange w/ giving it something of it's own.
