Default 24 Hours of Le Mans

Set your alarm clocks for this Saturday 8:30 am ET on SPEED...we need to pull for Corvette Racing!!

It looks like the team is rolling along with the provisional pole and 3rd position. Here are a couple links if interested:

I never miss LeMans, I'll be watching and hoping for a repeat of last year's win for Team Corvette. Hopefully both cars can run well and stay out of trouble and they should be right there at the end. That GT class is BRUTAL, there are probably at least 10 cars from several manufacturers that could win, hopefully we can defent our title.

I'll be watching ALL the action SPEED brings. It's become an annual event for me. Hopefully, I'll make the trip to LeMans next year. Go Corvette Racing!!

24 Hours of Le Mans is always a great event...awesome cars and incredible driving! The physical and mental demands required for even a 1 hour race are intense. I can barely imagine what it takes to drive in a 24 hour enduro. No wonder some teams bring hyperbolic chambers for drivers to rest in. Thanks for the reminder and oh yea....Go Corvette!

Going to a viewing party at a friend's house. Can't wait.

Also very excited to see the Deltawing in action. The parade laps at Sebring were one thing...

The Corvette Museum put together a coordinated travel package to Le Mans as a group last year and I read about it too late. This year I was looking but I never saw anything. I'll be watching each year for NCM to put together another event...how cool would it be not just to go but to go with the backing of the Corvette mothership?

Probably because of Chevrolet's 100th birthday ...

These guys are professionals and have a really big crew. It's definitely not easy, but...

Can they pull of 25 hours and 25 minutes? Check out Nelson's Ledges October Event here: http://chumpcar.com/events.php
Our team of 4 will be drivers and our own crew. Fun stuff an no hyperbolic chambers.

My older son and I will be pulling another "all-nighter" watching it for the fourth year. Not quite the same as being there, but you do get to experience what it's like to be awake for that amount of time in addition to seeing any of the middle of the night situations that inevitably develop.

Thanks for the heads-up! I don't know how I missed this coming up; guess I haven't been watching very much speed channel lately since trying to get my Z back together and on the road.

Just a quick note on the DVR's...if you look at the Corvette Racing website it shows when SPEED channel will be televising and when SPEED.com takes over to provide live coverage. This happens a couple of times so make sure you record all instances of the race or you'll miss a bit in the middle.
