Orange C6 Corvette
I was at a local car show and there was a Orange C6 Z06 that I snapped a few pics off. I'm curious what color Orange this is (didn't see the owner so I could ask).
Atomic, Inferno, Sunset or?
It looks a little red in these pictures....
The rest of the car show pictures.

I have one of 224 Inferno Orange Grand Sport convertibles. Yes, it's definitely inferno orange. The color came out in 2011 and I had read that originally it was to be a limited edition color in carbon fiber only, but then Chevy expanded it as an option to the rest of the lineup as well.
It's a super cool color, especially in the sunlight, but I'm a bit biased.

Personally, I'm glad it's not a "popular" color, I like being different LOL
here's some cool production chart figures that are fun to look at on a rainy day.

There's a link to the 2011 production specs there too.
And yes, it does have a more red tint than some oranges, but when sitting next to a red car, it's really obvious that it's not. And I love the gold sheen it has in the sun with the metal flake in the paint. It's definitely eye catching in person. It's drawn a crowd everywhere I've taken it.

There were 16 Z06 and 16 ZR1s ordered in Inferno Orange in 2012 and another 213 Z06/ZR1 total in 2011.

According to the Chevy website, the color is a $300 up charge. I bought mine off the dealer lot then customized the interior myself to get exactly what I wanted. Since I bought in September, and it's a convertible, I got a really nice deal on it (I think so anyway). Mine also has dealer added color matched spoiler and door handles, plus tinted windows.

Red color really shows the swirls in paint.

I would call it "middle of the road" as far as maintenance. If you scratch the paint, you will see it at certain angles in the sunlight. It doesn't show the dirt and dust the way dark colors do, but looses it's gleam. It doesn't hide dirt as well as silver and white though. I have a car and a truck in white and they look fine from a distance even when filthy. I have a "Rimini Red" Rover - the color is a deep wine-red, and that shows dirt badly, and you can see every swirl and scratch - not as bad as black, but a close second. I'd put the orange in the middle of the two extremes. I have kept mine covered in the garage when I'm not driving it and am pretty nuts about being the only one that cleans it, would never run it through an automatic car wash or use a brush on it, but even with all that care, I still had some scratches in it that I recently had a professional buff out and then put an Opti-Guard treatment on it. However, if I weren't taking the car to shows, I wouldn't have been as concerned about the minor scratching that could only be seen at the right angles.

Swirls unavoidable.
Another thing I have noticed with the color red is that over time it fades. The color yellow attracts insects as you will see at a car show that is outside on grass.
