Splash guards on wide body C6?
Do any of you use splash guards on wide body C6?
Pros? Cons?
Black? Body color? Carbon Fiber?
Cheers,
JB

Yes, I put Apsis splash guards on the front and of course the Z06 rear quarters have OEM splash guards.
Mine are made to match the OEM rear ones.

I didn't do it on my wide body. Asked a guy who knows a lot about judging car shows and he said that it might take away from the judges scores. It may not, but don't want to take the chance. TO us vette guys, we think it looks awesome, but maybe non-vette guys who are judging our cars against Shelbys, Vipers, NSX, etc. may not like the rubber splash guard as much. I have found that it is pretty easy to clean any road stuff off and haven't had any rock chips so for me I'm good without the splash guards. But that is me, and probably 98% of the forum members will have their views which is fine too. Its all about what look pleases you.

I have APSIS front splash guards, and OEM rear splash guards, on my ZR1.
IMO, you'll definitely want to do something on the fronts on a wide-body, along with clear-bra from the
brake-duct area downwards behind the front wheels and in front of the rear wheels. The sandblast risk
(of road debris) is quite real.

I must be the only GrandSport owner on the Forum with stock/factory splash guards with absolutely no problem with chips on the front/rear quarter panels. I keep hearing about "sand blasted" paint. So far, 18K. And, not a scratch.

A lot of highway driving in a state with a lot of highway construction (debris and dirt/gravel on the roads) will make you wish you would have installed them.

I think they are a 'must-have' item.
The leading edge/face of my rear fenders have received a lot of abuse.
I'm waiting to see RPI's new ABS front splash guards before I decide.
