Default shift lock solenoid not releasing

I've read many post about getting the shifter to release when "stuck" in park,
my '05 C6 with 16,000 has done this since day one but never can GM duplicate the erratic problem.
I've done the accessory thing, the "popping" the shifter, pushing further into park and NONE have bi-passed the issue

if I simply hold light pressure on the brake pedal, the solenoid will eventually release
anywhere from 20 seconds to 6 or 8 minutes

could this be the BCM since it has ultimate control of of the solenoid releasing ?

I am having the same issues with my shifter on my 05 A-4. Doing the same thing to get it out every time never works. Today I just push the shifter forward in park then it work. Just waiting for it to go out and then I will pull the boot off and fix it my way.
