I like their chances at Road America. That track is suited well for the Corvette. A win is what I am looking for, but as long as that finish ahead of the BMW's they are fine.

For live coverage, you need access to ESPN3.com for a live stream over the internet at 3:15 Eastern time. If you don't have that, it will be aired on Sunday at 2pm on ESPN2, but that will be a shortened version of the 4 hour race.

It looks like the vipers have a bit of work to do catch up but I'm sure they'll get it soon.

The Vipers will be no threat to the Corvettes. They brought the cars out for thier first race August 4 at Mid Ohio and they were basicly struggling out there. Next season they should be up there with the big boys but for now, they have a lot to learn and a lot of adjustments to make.

I'm sure Ollie & Tommy will be right up there at the finish in #4 and I'n really hoping Antonio & Jan can finally bring #3 it's first win for 2012.
Go Corvette Racing.

ALMS GT Qualifying earlier today for Saturday's Race

Top 5 in GT

1. 44 Marco Holzer – 911 GT3 RSR Porsche – 2:04.415
2. 45 Jorg Bergmeister – 911 GT3 RSR Porsche – 2:04.428
3. 4 Oliver Gavin – C6 ZR1 Corvette – 2:04.871
4. 55 Bill Auberlin – BMW E92 M3 – 2:04.913
5. 3 Antonio Gacia – C6 ZR1 Corvette – 2:04.921

The 2 Flying Lizard Porsches have locked up the first row for Saturday's 4 hour race.. That happens to be Marco Holzer's first ever pole position.
Corvette Racing came oh so close to filling out row 2 but Antonio in the #3 Corvette came up 8/1000 (0.008) of a second short and that left one of the RLL BMW's to sit on the second row next to the #4 Corvette.
Antonio will start 5th on the 3rd row...

The top 5 qualifiers were all within a half second of each other... Pretty darn close for a 4+ mile qualifying lap.

The first time out it was definitely a shakedown cruise for the entire SRT Viper operation. With the 'unchained' Viper's race record I think they'll soon get up to speed. Viper is a welcome addition to the series.
Go Team Corvette!

Has there been anything cool seen at the Corvette Racing Merchandise Trailer at the track? I have been trying to get there forever, just have not been able to make it.....I own just about everything in my size off the CorvetteRacingStore.com and BadBoyVettes.com websites. Talking to Lori, the marketing manager, there is totally different stuff on the trailer at the races.

I would really like to get a hold of some new shirts, jackets, hats, etc.

So, just curious....if nothing else, if you see the trailer take a few pics for me....Maybe I could talk Lori into selling me a couple of things off the trailer.

I hope they do well this weekend!

Nothing new that I saw this year besides t-shirts. No real higher end stuff...which I was really disappointed with.

This #4 pit crew really needs to tighten up this year...too much droppin the ball. #4 went in on 1sts bumper and came out in 6th...ridiculous.
