Default Cabin Air Filter

Heading to Carlisle tomorrow, decided to check the cabin air filter on my '05. Surprisingly, after only 21K loving miles the filter was filthy. Went to the local parts store and got a Hastings filter, they didn't have Delco. The Delco filter had stamped on it "This Side Up", pretty simple but the Hastings filter just has a couple of arrows (I guess) pointing direction of air flow. My question, does the air flow into the filter from the bottom of the car or from the top? So should the arrows be pointing up or down? Thanks!

Which ever side had the dirt all over it tells you the air was entering from that side.

Changed mine this year, (2009 coupe) and it had it's share of crap on it.

The dirty side was on top.

Thanks all, took a guess and put the arrows facing down, it looked like the air intake was at the base of the windshield, flowed down through the filter into the hole behind the filter and into the cabin, for once I guessed right! Thanks to all and thanks for the link!
