Perhaps but absence makes the heart grow fonder. If they did the event every other weekend it wouldn't be as special as it is once a year. Enjoy it for what it is.

Not like that. Although a huge number attend , it's spread out enough that it doesn't seem crowded

Nope. Crowded? yes, but not extreme. Traffic? not if you get there early enough. Never seen a mob scene there in all my years. Long lines at restaurants.........maybe about 8 deep, but that's about the worst of it, and if you eat earlier or later you don't get any of that.
Gotta love Carlisle.

Crowded? Yes, on the fairgrounds but not shoulder to shoulder crowded. Traffic? Not if you know how to get in and out thru backroads and sidestreets, or leave your hotel at the right time. Crowded hotels? There's thousands of Corvettes and others driving family cars, pickups, etc. Never a problem though getting a place or parking.
Waiting in line at restaurants? I've never waited at any place in almost 30 years going there. Admittedly the fairground eateries get crowded, at certain times, mostly lunchtime.

Crazy? YEP GOOD crazy

There are no negatives except going with people who want to leave early.Go with people who have stamina enough to put in a full day.
Can't wait till next year.

Ok you guy's up there in the NE had your Carlisle now it's our turn down here in So. FL. We have the turkey rod run on thanksgiving, Fri, Sat, Sun. I don't know anywhere else in the country where you can see such a vast variety of every kind of performance car on the planet. Where else can you go to have 6,7, & 8 second cars cruising down the blvd legally with open headers wheelie bars & parachutes. If you can't find what you want to own here then clearly it doesn't exist.
