New GS delivered with 31 miles?????
I picked up my new GS yesterday and was surprised to see 31 miles on the odometer. Salesman said it was dropped off yesterday morning and he was the only one that drove it. He said that they change trucks in Chicago and the transfer area is miles long. I said 31 miles long? Dealer has been real fair and just wonder how common this is?

Bowling Green pulls new Corvettes randomly off the line for quality control testing on there track.
Yours must have been one of these cars.
In a way .. your probably lucky in that these few cars that get pulled for testing are looked over much better than the ones that don't.

Ford picks cars at random and puts miles on them for quality control. There is usually a sticker on the window stating this with the miles on the sticker. I don't know about GM.

What that means is that there was some issue and they drove it around to figure it out.. I saw that last time I was at BG

Could be either.
QC check or a joy ride.
My suggestion is this. Go run the mother loving **** out of it and see if it breaks. If it doesnt you are good and if it does you have a warranty.

Mine had several kms on it and then Callaway put about 30 miles for quality control and testing as well.
By the time in got to me in Australia it had about 70 miles on it
time it was converted and aligned etc registered etc it had 160 miles on it.
did 700 miles over 2 weekends
I would rather a few miles on it than damage

not true. just because there was some miles does not mean an issue arose with the car. it means it was randomly picked for a quality control check. if there was an issue of course they will drive it to figure it out but that doesn't mean that was the case. you are going to make every new car owner who had ordered their car that came with 20 or so miles think that something was wrong with it after it was built which is not the case.

My '09 Z06 have 40+ miles on it whern I picked it up at the museum in BG! I went on the tour and watched them build my car and I know it had ZERO miles on it when I got in and started it up right there on the line.
I was informed at the time of delivery that my car had been selected for an extended QA check and that's where the extra mileage came in.
