Brake Fluid = Clutch Fluid?
This might be a dumb question
I would like to replace my clutch fluid and have AMSOIL Series 600 DOT 4 brake fluid. Can I use this also as clutch fluid? I have found a few threads how to change the clutch fluid, but none of them really answer my question.
Thanks!

I've used both the Amsoil and the Prestone Synthetic DOT 4 in both my 2008 and 2011 with no issues. Because of the inexpensive price, I use up most of the small bottle with multiple flushes, then dispose of the remainder, and use a new container at the next oil change.

GM recommends DOT 3 for the brakes, but I've been using DOT 4 in mine at the track for about a decade now. Been using this since AMSOIL came out with it about 5-6 years ago:
AMSOIL Series 600 DOT 4 Racing Brake Fluid (Product Code BF4SN)
Dry Boiling Point - 580F, Wet Boiling Point - 410F

I just changed the clutch fluid in a friends supercharged GS a couple of days ago. While he was getting the Amsoil oil for the oil change, he also got a can of the Amsoil DOT4 brake fluid for the clutch flush. I use the prestone DOT4 stuff myself.
The Prestone DOT fluid is clear so it's easy to see when you have the old stuff flushed out, and easy to see how dirty it gets after some usage. The Amsoil is a medium amber color, so it's harder to see how dirty the fluid is in the reservoir.
