XM radio any deals that u know of?
just got my new statement where they bill me for $195. In the past I got it down to about $100 or so. Any deals, need help. Thanks.

I do the following whenever mine comes due.
I call them up, tell the person that I really don't use it much, because I have MP3's, the service fades even with trees, and my cars are not driven much. HOWEVER, I'll probably renew my service IF and ONLY if I can get it for about $50 a year. I'm very polite during the entire conversation too.
Then, they choke for a second, and I get it for somewhere around $60 to $70 a year. I can't remember the exact amount but it is around $5 to $6 a month.
This is for the "car only", meaning no computer XM, etc. I have 2 cars, so I get both of them for this same rate. They come due about 6 months apart each year.

6 months 24.99
I had a 6 month deal at 24.99 that i just cancelled prior to expiration. They offered me another 6 months for 24.99 and i declined. About two weeks later xm called me and offered the 24.99 once again. I went ahead and accepted since it was pretty cheap. I have them invoice me for an additional 2.00 fee. I've done this several years now as i am just too cheap to pay full price when others are getting deals like myself.

Have not heard whether or not this still works, but many of us used to get it for $77 a year by calling the cancellation phone number and asking to cancel.

I just renewed for $87 for a year. You have to set an alert so you are sure to call the cancellation department a few days before the offer expires each year.

My best deal was to buy the GM PAL and install with Kawal's harness, put my music in an Ipod, and leave it in the rear cubby.
500+ songs that are all my favorites, better audio quality, no annoying DJ's, and no dealing with XM's crooked billing system.

Threatening to cancel has always worked for me. you can ask for a deal but they will tell you they are not authorized to give the $77 rate anymore. You will usually get transferred to their supervisor who will give you the better rate. I tell them I have 3 vettes with xm (which I do) and each one is a part time driver so its not worth it for me to pay $200 for each car but for $77 I will.
Just remember, their service department is the worst in the world so be patient when trying to deal with them. good luck.
