Default Burning elektric smell when running idle?

Since a week of 2 my vette has a strange behaviour..
When I'm going through the Mcdrive and waiting... or waiting for a open bridge I smell some elektric burning smell when running idle.

When I drive at the highway I smell nothing!!!
I looked under the hood when the smell is present but I can't smell it in the engine bay.
It's only noticeable in the interioir comming from the air flow / heater.

Airco on or off is no difference.
Engine and cooland temperature is perfect.

I'm really scared now for driving my vette.
Someone have a idea what could be wrong?

Many thanks!

Have you changed oil recently? Many have noticed the smell of burning oil afterwards even though it seems no oil was spilt anywhere. After a few thousand miles, it seems to disappear.

What you explained is exactly what I experienced after an oil change, but smelled more like burning oil. Maybe someone else will have a better explanation.

I'm guessing you have run over a plastic bag or something and its caught on your exhaust. You cant smell it at highway speeds due to air flow but at idle the smell just permeates the car. I'd get it up on a hoist or put the right side tires on a curb or something and crawl under it.

Pretty common as you run over a plastic bag blowing across the highway that it gets caught under the car. good luck, let us know whats happening.
