I've had one of the $300+ covers on my 08 for about 6 months. Fits nicely. Seems to be working out nicely.
.............
If there's going to be a rain storm, I remove the cover. I let the car get rained on. Dry it off and put the cover back on. All car covers absorb moisture, and they get damp during the rain, and then after they keep the car encapsulated in a humid atmosphere. My experience is to take them off before heavy rain.

Cockpit cover
In my youth I drove a lot of sports cars. They all had tonneau covers.(a tonneau cover is a cover that covers just the cockpit, not including the windshield. I zips down the middle, lengthwise so the car can be driven with the passenger side covered) I know that a number of manufacturers make covers that cover the windshield and the cockpit but I'd like a Tonneau cover. I'm not fond of the idea of leaving my car parked with the entire interior open so some envious *** can flip his lighted cigarette butt in to the car. Yes, I can put the top up but a tonneau cover is easier.
Is anybody aware of anybody that still makes tonneau covers?

Can you give a brief synopsis of these. Looking for one-but don't understand the differences. Thanks

Basically the Stormproof and Weathershield are thin materials - Think
parachute material. Great for weather and pack up small and can easily
be taken with you.
The Noah and Autobody Armour are thicker covers, also protect against
dings and dents.
Best of all of them is the Autobody Armour IMHO
Feel free to give me a call and I will be glad to run threw them in detail
if you can't find what you are looking for on the website

Is it OK to use a outdoor cover if you keep your car in the shop?We have a lot of pollen and some gets in the shop and was thinking that might be the fix to pollen as well as being able to use it on overnight trips.

Heel & Toe
New cover
Just used my new CC Noah. Think it will be perfect for my carport storage. I get western sun. Like the Material. Had a Coleman tent made from Evolution material (Kimberly-Clark)

Curious, any particular color would be recommended?
I presume that a light color would recommended to stay cooler.
but I could be wrong. Maybe a particular color may block uv rays better or not.
Thanks
