Default C6 Fog Light Question

Hi all, I just purchased the Corvettemods 6000k HID low beam and fog light kit. Looks great! One of my fog lights surprisingly has already gone out so I'm not sure if it's the connection or a defective bulb. If anyone has any ideas on that I'd love to hear them.

My main question though, is there a way to get the fog lights to turn on with the low beams? Every time my low beams turn on, I need to turn the fog lights on manually. Thanks!

If you have the low beams on and turn on the fog lights they will stay on until you switch to the high beams but they will come back on automatically when you switch back to low beams. Are you saying that is not working? The fog lights will not just come on when you turn on the headlights. Just have to turn the fogs on that one time while you are driving, but must repeat that cycle each time the lights are turned off entirely.

It's not built that way for us. Can't do that unless you re-wire something.

I know that, you know that & he knows that.

He's wanting to know if there's been a work around, & I'm sure there is.

Most likely, you have a bad ballast on the side that's out. Take the ballast from the bad side & plug it into the good side to see if the bulb ignites. If it doesn’t.....you have a bad ballast

Remember - touching HID bulbs is bad, M'Kay.

Default Bad balast

Yup. My first experience with Corvette mods had a bad balast. Along with switching the balast from one side to the other, you might want to check the voltage at the fog light connector. If you have too low voltage, the balast won't work correctly.

CV mods tech support was very helpful. Issue resolved.

Had the Vette out tonight and tried a few things and noticed if you just turn on the fog lights, the low beams automatically come on with the fogs.

not in my car, you have to turn on the low beams separately (and I am absolutely sure about this in my car)

Its' funny I have the same problem one of my fogs went out and just installed them a couple of months ago.

I would not have know if I had not noticed it in the reflection from the car in front of me. And no, when you turn on the fogs the lows do not come on. My lows are set on automatic.

Will have to check the connections. It's a pain. But I know CM stands behind the products they sell.

Those of you saying the lows don't come on when you turn on the fogs, take the headlights off automatic and try that again.
