HELP ! Runs, drips AND errors
OK, so I decided to paint my wheel barrels. Cleaned them up to a sparkle, and followed with the 400 grit sand paper and the laquer thinner wipe down. Also, taped eveything I did not want to get paint on.
Well, I told myself I wouldn't put too much paint on the first coat, but of course, I got some drips and runs.
I wiped it off with a clean cloth and will let it dry. Now what?
More 400 grit, or 0000 steel wool, or what. The rest of the wheel looks good. Just have to get the bad spot blended back in.
Help please.
Thanks.

I'm about to turn the wheel over and pull off the tape. With three more to go, I may have some overspray. What is safe to use to remove it? I have the stock wheels.

Melting Slicks
I credit the OP for trying and if it doesn't turn out right, he can still go to a professional afterwards, with not much loss other than time and a few bucks in paint and (dry) sandpaper....

The barrels are not the easiest things to paint getting in deep and maintaining a even distance from the surface. Not like painting a flat panel. Take your time wet sand your mistakes, make sure they are clean and dry after wet sanding. Surface prep is the key. If you're can spraying use a can trigger. It helps being able to move your can even with the surface holding on to the trigger handle compared to holding on to the can itself and using your index finger to push down on the spray nozzle. Don't be discouraged it takes practice, and patience. I just blacked out my side markers and tails have never done it before, I did a little research first, watch a few you tubes and they turned out perfect you could not tell them from store purchased ones. You will get it down just fine.
