Canadian 427 vert different than American?
I'm considering buying a 2013 427 Convertible and have noticed at least one difference between what is offered here vs in the US.
Some dealers' cars have the carbon fibre splitter, one has both the carbon fibre splitter and rocker panels, and another says they both are excluded with the T43 spoiler. All are 60th Anniversary Design Package and 427 Convertible Collector Edition and have the ZR1 rear spoiler.
Salesmen's knowledge of corvettes varies widely from dealer to dealer. I had one guy tell me the 7.0 litre is not offered in a convertible but he'd give me a good deal on a Z06!
What is the real story on this? Are there any other differences between the Canadian version and the American one?
thank you.

The carbon fiber splitter and side rockers are not installed at the factory, on the cars that have them as an option they are shipped with car on the interior to be installed by the dealer. My understanding is that the reason is to avoid damage due to clearance issues of loading them on and off the car carrier trucks. The carbon fiber package is a required option on the 60th Anniversary Package cars in the US. I don't know if that option can be deleted on Canadian cars with the 60th Anniv Pkg, but I would doubt it. My guess would be on the car that did not have them, that the dealer had not yet installed them. They should have been shown as a separately listed and cost option on the window sticker, but I don't know if your window stickers are the same as US version.

The real reason why they cost so much more in Canada is because they are SOOOOO much faster.
The U.S. version does 180
The Canadian version does 300

Mr. Gluck is quite famous in Corvette circles and most guys will pay a premium for the privilege of owning a Gluckvette. You did very well, even with the all the Canadian bureaucrats sticking their hands out on the transaction.
