Default New Land Nav Update Available end of Nov.

Just an update, I just called GM land Nav update, 877-628-3472 or http://www.corvetteactioncenter.com/...ate-discs.html

and was informed that the new Land Nav update for our vets will be available at the end of the week (end of November 2012). This will be my second and last free update, so I'm excited to get the latest update available, especially since I live in a new subdivision that my 2008 update doesn't recognize. Just thought you all may also want to take advantage of the latest update in case its been awhile since you have updated your land nav.

To my understanding, they no longer give you two free years. Have I been missing something that I should have been receiving. I had an 08 and never got a new nav disc. My 2013 does not even have my street in it and my street is two years old.

Well, I'm not too sure about the later models, but all I can say is that the 2006 models get two free updates. I would recommend calling up GM Land Nav update at the number I provided and ask. The lady that I talked to was extremely helpful and didn't ask for my VIN number, just updated my address and asked me to call at the end of the week so she could send me the brand new update

I believe there was a time limit on those two free updates and it expired some time ago.

I got them on the 2007 I had. I actually gave away the second year in a pay it forward here on the forum because I traded the 07 on an 08.

That's about the same date that I can get my next free update for my $85 Garmin, that I got a free update back in Sept and a free update back in June, and a free update back in March, and a free update back in December...will it ever end? All those free updates are killing me.

Well, I guess I will find out at the end of the week when I call GM back, but I told the lady that I owned a 2006 and needed my second update, and she didn't say anything about me not qualifying for it. In fact, she told me to call back on Friday to get the new one.

You are one lucky guy as there was a drop dead date and several forum guys missed out. Let us know what happens.

The GM nav disc site said the 2013 version was not available, but they would email me when it did become available. So I left my email.

Today is December 9, nothing from GM and the site still says not available.

I called up GM and spoke to a fellow who was very helpful. He took all my info and stated he would speak to his supervisor for the OK to send me an updated disc.He called me back about a week later and told me he had the authorization to send me the update, but I never received anything from GM.
Not a surprise.Rod:fla g:

I use MotionX-GPS Drive navigation on my iphone and it always seems to be current. With live voice guidance it costs less than $10 annually and I think you can port it through your car's display and speakers if you want. With all the great smartphone navigation apps (some free) I don't see a future for in-car navigation with expensive once a year updates.

I just got off the phone with Cust. Service and they confirmed that I do get one Free upgrade with my purchase. She told me that the upgrade is not available right now but will come out some time this month and they will send me an email when it is ready. I got the rep's phone number and ext. number along with my order/confirmation number and she said to call her if I do net recieve it before months end. Well guy's thanx a lot because I had no idea that I was even eligible for an update.

According to other info from GM, you aren't.
Congratulations!

Now, go out and buy a lottery ticket.

Default The offer was good for 2006 & 2007 cars only!

I mistakingly thought the upgrades were good for 2006 and newer but called GM and was told it was for 2006 and 2007 cars only. Oh yeah, the offer has expired. FYI

I just bought a certified Corvette from the Chevy Dealer and they told me Yes I get One Free upgrade as part of my 12 month 12,000 mile warranty. GM called the dealer I bought the car from. They had all of my info Vin. name and address everything.

Now what are you refering to?

You get the update as part of your used car purchase. Anyone buying a new C6 doesn't get free updates and hasn't since '07.

Is this then version 9? I have GM Nav disk 8 in my system. It's still pretty ridiculous as not having addresses.
