It just started to do it,I have a clicking noise,not all the time but at random times...the sound seems to be coming from the air vents on top of the radio (6 cd changer).
I turn the radio off and it still does it,fiddle with the heater buttons..still does it...mmmmmmmmmmmmm
What could it be?
I forgot to mention that the car is a 2005 C6.

I believe there is a small cooling fan that is part of the ignition switch that sometimes will rub and make strange noises.

If it's actually coming from the passenger footwell, might be the normal clicking sound of the brake relay.

Does it only happen when you press the brake pedal?

Anyway, if you've got a 4-prong relay, it's easy to replace with the quieter new 5-prong relay:

Brake relay click was not an issue in 2005.
