Get 2013 pr keep 2012
Not interested in c7 for several personel reasons 1 No 427.
I have 2012 Z06 torch red 3LZ chrome spyders car has all the goodies nav and new Mich runflats. I'm wanting a Crystal red Z06 3LZ f55 and machine face cup wheels and ZR1 spoiler my car has 16200 road miles on it bought Aug 2011.
Would you forum members give 13000 dif or keep what I have. What is my car worth, I have gotten #'s all over the place any ideas or input would be great.
Thanks in advance

its such a hard question to answer. most will say keep what you have. if finances dont bother you and you HAVE TO have it, jump in. If you are not uuber rich and its just a want thing, its probably a silly idea. spend a few bucks and get the wheels you want.

To me that is too much boot...Those are basically the same MSRP priced cars new I'm guessing....and the 427s will all sell but I would say no more than 10k for the one model year difference...I did much better than that when I went 11 to 12 on equaly MSRP's but the 12 base Vette had heavy incentives to offset a lot of the difference...

I would keep your current Vette. Not enough differences to justify the cost difference.
Torch Red in one of my two favorite colors (Artic White is the other) but CRM is my next favorite color. But I would not sell the Torch Red Z to get a CRM Z.
Good luck with your decision.

A slightly different thought: if you're not interested at all in the C7s, at least for the first few years when there might not be a 427, then what're your choices? Note: there could be a bigger engine later, but who really knows?
And if you want a certain color on a 427, and certain features, my take is you can't really do that with the car you have now. Therefore, it would appear to me to be, as hawk mentions a number above, a question of if it's worth maybe $3K ($10K being expected/reasonable per hawk; $13K difference per your numbers) to you to get those "features," such as F55 on a brand new, Z.
I can't speak for the dollars it would cost you to make this happen, but as far as being maybe the best of the C6s, usually the last model year of a Corvette generation is just that, the best. I know one thing: there won't be an "improved C6" in a 2014 model.

To me, if you have lots of money, get what you want, but that's gonna be a lot of $$$ just for a different color. I'd keep what you have. Besides, grandson is happy.

BTW, if money's not an issue and you plan to keep your C6 for a long time, I say go for the 2013 Z.

I have a torch red coupe and love the color. Are you wanting crm for the classy less flashy look? I know from experience that it is hard to enjoy a car to its fullest extent if it isn't exactly the way you want it

The PTM is also part of pkg for f55 this is my main goal. To be almost a z07 without the cost of the carbon fiber. Oh i like torch red too but thought CR would be a nice change of pace.

Do the math.
With the 2014's soon to debut, 0% financing, only paying tax on the difference, some people think that they could come out ahead.
You'd have the last year of the C6, one year newer, etc. What else could you buy that would give you that much enjoyment? (Maybe some mods, i.e. new rims, carbon fiber, interior upgrades?)
