Default Specific manual transmission gear ratios in GS?

What does the feature "specific manual transmission gear ratios" means for the GS? Does one have a choice of a final rear gear ratio 3.42 vs. say 3.70? I cannot find any info on this and am curious as to what this GS feature is.

It means that they are different compared to the base car for a little extra performance. I don't think you have a choice with the gear set as they are model dependent.

The gearing inside of the transmissions is different regarding the manual/auto versions, so they match up the rear end gears to the respective transmission.

To clarify, the gearing is NOT the same as the base models. It IS the same as the pre-2010 base models equipped with the Z51 option.

Okay, thanks. It was a combined effort. I'll have to flag down the main contributor to that effort.
