Gm is sending me an update
I took the advice of a forum member and called GM to try to get an update to my NAV system.Much to my surprise, the gentleman I spoke to said,"no problem." He asked me for the year of my veh. and told me he would need verification from his supervisor.Well,Friday I received an e-mail from this gentleman that an upgraded CD was shipped that morning free of charge. That was a real surprise seeing GM sells them for about $ 110 give or or take $10 bucks. Thanks to the forum member who posted the info and the phone number to call. I don't know is name so I can't thank him personally.Rod:f lag:

Any idea if it would be the same ($200) for a 2008 Vette?

For 2006 and 2007 there was a promise of 2 free discs. You always had to call to get the disc. For 2005 and 2008-2013 there were no free discs offered. The 2006-2007 offer expired 1/1/2010. If you hadn't gotten both of your discs before 2010 you are out of luck. The number to call is in the owner's manual (why doesn't GM put one of these in the glove box of every car they sell?) 1-877-NAV-DISC (1-877-628-3472).

I had to call 800-222-1020, give them my VIN and personal info, and they are sending me an update. Sort of stinks, though, because I am due 2 updates, but I get only one.
