Local dealership had on the lot for one day a Crystal red tintcoat 427 vert. Chrome ZR1 style wheels...it was a beauty. I can see why guys love those things....I fell in love!

427 Vert is not a Z06 (although for the typical consumer they are more than close enough to be considered interchangeable).

But that's why - the "427 Convertible" is this year's big draw and the Z06 is tapering out for reasons others mentioned (GS, long production run, C7, etc). I'd estimate only a few hundred Z06's will ultimately be built in for the `13 model year.

Finally, the 427 Convertible in 2012 arrived for the few who truly wanted near "Z06" performance in a Convertible. After eight years of production, everyone that wanted one, has already bought one, new or used, and outside of insignificant differences appearance wise, all C6 Corvettes look the same to the average person on the street. The Camaro ZL1 and the Cadillac CTS-V are the new GM "halo" cars, and the Corvette has been put out to pasture and left sucking hind tit.
.....alot worthless babble above this..Except that the ZR1 is the top dog...

I have a 2013 VY ZO6 and love it. Wanted to have a 427 Z before they ended production. It is a keeper!

For those of you buying used Z's what are you doing to keep the interior fresh and new looking or does it not matter to most of you? My biggest concern about buying used is that even after everything mechanical checks out I dont want a beat worn interior. Are you guys having yours restored or anything? As in the leather re done and things like that?

Or are any of you putting nice recars or corbeau seats in them?

Me Too..... My 427 Cyber grey is scheduled for build this week. Special order with all red interior, red calipers and a GREY top. Should be a one of a kind for the 427 Vert.

I traded my 07 Z06 for the 427 Vert. I absolutely love the new car and have no regrets. (It was a hard choice to make and I changed my mind at least 100 times) Both are great cars!

My 3LZ interior looks perfect, car only had 10k miles on it when I bought it, but John Caravaggio is getting a lot of my money right now for steering wheel, shift ****/boot, and ebrake boot. Once those are in, then time to order some Daytona seats. I finally have a car that I want to upgrade.
