Default Now What!!! Check Oil - - - When will it end.

So my Harmonic Balancer install went as planned... SNAFU!

I got the car all together and could not find a hose from the Res. to the PS pump.
Fine I will let the dealer take care of it with the Alignment.

Go to the dealer and of course they don't have the hose and it appears the Res separated where it is glued together.
So they order the parts.

I leave the dealer and now I get Check Oil warning and Low Oil Temperature warning.
WTF!
I get home and it is time for a change anyways, and the same amount came out as what I put in last time.
So fresh oil and I still get the warning... Stupid sensors.

Next I find my right rear TPS isn't registering 100% of the time.

I can not wait until this car is dependable.

If you guys saw my parts list from the last month, you would just sh_it.
I am usually a really good judge when buying a car.
I drove this one for an hour before heading back to the dealership to buy it.
I looked at everything and still missed stuff.

I am hoping by thursday the rest of my new parts will be here.
PS Res.
PS Hose
Two Hood Struts
Left front inner fender well #33/headlight cover... The PO must have driven over every curb possible.

Now I need to order an oil sensor... I am sure that will be impossible to get to and replace.

I have never owned a used car with so many neglected issues.
This car doesn't know how lucky it is that I bought it...

As far as the harmonic balancer goes, im sure you know its a very common issue with corvettes. As far as everything else goes it sounds to me like you purchased a pretty beat up car. Hood struts headlight cover inner liner. Was this car in an accident? It sounds like alot all at once on a normally very dependable car.

The inner fender is from driving up on parking curbs...
They broke the air dam which broke the tabs where the air dam and the inner fender blot up.

Some people just can't drive.
If you want to see neglected cars... Shop for a BMW. What an eye opener.
I don't think BMW owners even know what a regular oil change is.

The new BMW oil changed is 15k which I think is really unbelievable. My 5 gets it every 4k and of course it's older.
That sucks your getting all kind of gremlins on your car, hopefully you'll get the bug out.

^you won't find better HP anywhere. I hate to hear about a ****$how Corvette in the c6 variety. This platform has so much opportunity.

If you are getting messages to check sensors, you might want to make sure the battery is ok and charged. A low battery will trigger all sorts of messages.

I would be tempted to get rid of it. Sometimes you do get stuck with a real lemon.

I'm sorry for your problems. I don't think the C6 is particularly problem prone....any car can have issues. The risk may be greater with a used car especially if you're not 100% sure how it was used and maintained. Hopefully, you'll fix the problems and then be able to enjoy a reliable car.
