2007 HID Problem
Ok so today i went to install a new stock ballast (straight from chevrolet) in my 2007 corvette because the HID was not working so i thought it was the ballast, but it ended up being the HID bulb so i went and purchased the bulb. The HID bulb i purchased was through chevrolet but it is white and my other light is blue, i want to keep the blue style but the chevrolet dealer told me that this is the only bulb they carry and have for my corvette. So im wondering how i can get the blue bulb because i have the stock ballast. So does anyone know how this is possible???? I would appreciate any help!
This is the picture of the old blue bulb and it looks exactly the same(as far as shape and the way it connects) as the white HID bulb i just brought so i was wondering how i can purchase the same blue one if anyone knows where?

you can do google search and come up with places that will sell you the blue tint ones.
sending a PM for an example.
the only problem is that there are actually about 4 different shades so your odds of getting a match without ordering 2 is slim.

HID's get bluer the older they get.
That's why they are usually replaced in pairs. But yours look like two completely different color temps.
Your pictures clearly show that the OEM 4300K HID is brighter than the bluer light. The blue looks cool but it's definitely a step down in performance.

Yes, it looks like a previous owner changed the bulbs..........it's funny because the "blue" color is indicative of a "brighter/higher K" bulb, not lower.

The correlation between color temperature and brightness is easily/often confused.
If you continued up-wards in color temp. you would eventually end up with "black lights".
They would make your velvet Elvis paintings in your garage look cool but would be worthless for driving.
