Having seen the C&, who is glad they didn't buy a 2013 in the last few months?

Not me. I'm glad to have my 427. Who knows how many years it's going to be ......if ever.....till they come up with something comparable in the C7. Government puts more regulations on the car industry daily. I feel lucky to have what I think is one of the best Vettes ever built.

I have no regrets buying my 427 vert last month. This is my first vert and I love it. I never buy the first couple of years in a new car anyway, so who knows what I will do in 2016? But for now, the C7 won't be out for 8 months or so and the vert a year behind that. So, while everyone is waiting for their new Corvette, I will be driving mine.

Moving from my 13 year affair with a '99 Miata to my 2013 4LT GS with NPP, M2W, F55, Sprint Booster, Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires, Caravaggio Daytona seats, Caravaggio Steering wheel, DSV leather and Alcantara console and cluster pod, with dynamatted interior, and a few more cool bits and pieces here and there, I'd say I'm pretty darn happy. The C7 is pretty cool. I may get one of those when they go on sale. But, in the meantime my CG GS is AWESOME!!! I mean friggin' AWESOME!!!
So, what was the question again???

Having seen all the renderings and knowing very well I was just days away from the release of the new C7, NOTHING stopped me from buying a 2013 C6 Z06 2LZ.
Although I did have worries about dropped valves, I still followed my instincts to jump on the closeout pricing of a 2013 Z. I am very happy I did. Now, this doesn't say the C7 won't grow on me like the lines of the C6 did.....It just took a few years.

I watched the unveiling live and had mixed hopes. Part of me wanted the c7 to be something amazing that I just could not live without. Part of me wanted to not like it so that I would remain content with my present car. I had no idea how completely disappointed I would be with c7. Nothing about it keeps me awake at night. Nothing about it occupies my thoughts during the day. There is no infatuation, no need. It's like they started off with a c6 and figured every possible way to crap it up. It looks like it will be heavier with almost no increase in HP. Perhaps they will do a mid run revision and fix the body and do a big bump in HP. Until then I will have no other love than my 2010 Callaway GS.

I just bought a '12 GS knowing the C7 is coming out soon.
Ill be enjoying my proven C6 when early C7 owners are bitching about all the annoyances in a brand new platform.

I have 2012 3lz zo6 torch red and chrome spyders. Wanted to trade for 2013 z06 with f55 and machine finished wheels in torch red or crystal red but my car trade in value was way down. I like the looks for c7 but wanted my 427 and need to wait 2 model years for bugs to go away and see if z06 comes back or Zr1 at affordable price.

Cars generally get better over time. Looking back at the C6 run, I don't wish I'd bought a first year car, or even a second year car. Yes, I missed being the first guy at cars & coffee with a C6. I got over it. With a 2013 I have a twinge of buyer's remorse, but I expected that. Just a twinge to be absolutely clear.
I knew the C7 would be killer, and I like it. In the hype-induced Corvette euphoria today, it's hard to imagine but the C7 HiPerf models & special editions will be even better. And don't doubt it, more goodness is coming. One day the C7 will get other cool new features you'll really want. DCT perhaps?
I don't trade cars every year or two. The depreciation hit is too high, I'm too financially conservative to run on that treadmill. The C6 didn't suddenly get ugly when the C7 came out, I still love the looks. I really like the lines of the wide body convertible C6. It's still a "wow!" car on the road for all but the most cynical car guys. For me, any doubts about buying a 427 are erased whenever I get in and push the start button. She's still a beast.
Cheers,
JB

I bought my 2013 427 in September knowing the C7 was on the horizon. I had no intention of buying a first year model anyway. I also kept my 06 conv. If by some chance a factory supercharged C7 conv is built, the 06 will get sold and I'll add a C7 to the garage. Until then, I will continue to enjoy my C6 convertibles.

Well put.
I bought my 2013 less that a month before the C7 unvail, and part of the reason I did it was I knew that a no option base C7 would cost a boatload more than my loaded 13 Grand Sport. Plus I have 8 full time cylinders firing....(grin)
I do like the C7, especially the front and hood. (*** end is fugly though)

Not sad to be enjoying a new Z06 at 18% off sticker price with 0% interest for 72 months. Sleeping pretty well at nights and enjoying this 60 degree weather all the more.

Extremely happy with my move from my 07 Z06 to my 13 427 Vert. The C7 looks inticing and in a few years maybe a move but no regret's at all.

Bought my ’13 GS in October and guess what? I’m very happy that I did. I love how it looks and performs. The C7 is the “new kid on the block” so it’s now getting all the attention. I wouldn’t want a C7 for at least 2-3 years and If and when I do, I’ll get it…What’s the big deal??

Well, I'm going to take a contrarian view. I like my 2006 Corvette but the C7 is so much more sophisticated in every way that I plan to sell my C6 (I'm sure I'll take a bath) and purchase a C7 after all the reviews are out and the initial euphoria wears off.
