Reminds me a guy I met a few years ago who DID tell me all about his engine in his C4. A factory 351 CI that he souped up! I asked if he couldn't possibly be mistaken since I didn't think GM made a 351 but that I was sure Ford did. Nope.....he was sure. He'd bought it new. Interesting people we sometimes meet, no?

I saw a guy in a new 911 picking his nose today at a red light...

There are all kinds in this world no matter what the badges are on the car.

This happens all the time.

At a small get together a woman was selling a C5. She says "Its a convertible." I said "No, its a targa. Convertibles dont have a halo." Then her man says "I got a 2001 Z06.....405 horse power!" I said "You have the 385 version, engines are slightly different from 2001 to 2002." Him "No, same thing." So we got my friends phone out and proved it to both of them.

There are a lot of "stupid" Corvette owners out there. This guy is just another one.

Default Medicated

He is probably on or Mental Health medication such as Abilify, Haldol etc. Were you wearing a white coat when you met?

Sad that the world has declined to a place where people are afraid to talk to one another....wondering if he was afraid you would stick your tongue out and start singing, "Mine is better than yours is, mine is better than yours is" like you were 5....

I have NO problems with guns, its some of the people who carry them that scare me. I also agree that it is a shame that when someone (you) go out of your way to engage another in kind exchanges about a common love, they cannot even smile back, answer with kindness (even if he didn't tell you what he had under his hood - who knows - maybe he had a bomb stored under there and was afraid you would ask to see it - ROFL) and go on with their day.

Makes me sad really...

Regardless of what his true intentions were/are, I smile at these people and think to myself "I'm glad I'm not as miserable or unhappy with my life as they may be". I'm realize how good I have it living in this country after seeing many unfortunate things during the Gulf War. Maybe some day his eyes will see how lucky he really is, but probably not.

Its fun to hear the lies a new corvette guy tells all his friends until an old corvette guy walks up. I overheard a friend of my brother in law talking all big saying our GS
was just like the Z06 without the turbo I told them its not a turbo its a supercharger
And factory Z06s dont come with them either. Then he wanted to argue about it.
Dude dont argue with a Owner we have done all the research.
Then you have the guys that own a bad *** ride and could care less what it has under the hood.
I met a guy that had a bad *** jeep srt8 he had no idea of the engine or HP.
Some people get into their cars and some people just get into their cars...

I don't even bother to correct most people. I met a guy once at a Corvette club get together at Sonic one night, when I was briefly a member, who had ZR-1 badges on his base C4. When he said he was just using the emblems, I had to say something politely off topic and walk away.
