What are shops charging to install lowering bolts
Working on a 2011 Grand Sport, and Im not in a position to do the work myself right now, so Im wondering what shops are charging to install lowering bolts on C6 Vettes.
Thanks Guys,

Post the question in the TX regional forum. Our rate in DFW is $90 hr

I was quoted the same rate in the Seattle area. Only caveat was the shop had to buy the bolts, I could not bring bolts in (even if the package was unopened). They claim it's for liability purposes but obviously it's because they want to markup the bolts too.

How low are you dropping it? My guy didn't take the bolts out, just adjusted down to them and it dropped almost an inch. Still paid too much ($50) plus realign ($50). Didn't want to have to stop for everything in fear of scraping. Cali has some crappy roads, already bent a wheel on the freeway!

Yeah, this all kills me since I normally do EVERYTHING myself, but Im not in a situation to do anything so Im at the mercy of my local shops. I paid one local shop to lower my Vette on stock bolts and you cant even tell they did anything. So I bought these lowering bolts and I want to just lower the rear another inch or so. I look like a damn 4X4 with expensive *** wheels.

Charlie, if you're able to get under your car anytime soon, & you're front ride height is okay but only too high in the rear, I'd consider cutting 1/8" off the rear bushings instead of buying lowering bolts.
The bottom 1/8" metal plate (covered in rubber) cuts off easily (cable saw, or serrated blade w/ WD40) & reply if you need any instruction.
I've not run lowering bolts, but have read too many posts @ them wearing out early (metal on metal), squeaking, etc. Maybe someone will chime in w/ good reviews of the delrin versions, but I've not read that they last very long either.
You can buy a pair of like new OEM rear bushings on the forum & install them later if needed, & they do come up for sale albeit infrequently.
