Default Im glad C6 production is over.

Before anyone goes off the handle about the thread title, let me explain.

I really am glad there will be no more new C6s produced and sold because.......

It hurts to see all the threads pop up on here with people taking delivery of all these new beautiful C6s that I cant have. Everytime I see one of those threads, I have no choice but to check out the new car pics and the great comments about how awesome the new car is. It sucks because I really wanted to buy a new Z06 and take museum delivery. Now that the opportunity has passed for good, I can finally put that dream to bed.

Now maybe in a few years I can take delivery at the museum of a C7, but there are other cars I would rather have next now that the C6 is over. So I say Im glad they are over......only because I no longer have to beat myself up why I wasnt able to pull the trigger on the C6 of my dreams. Im very depressed over this revelation too.

I wanted to do the museum thing too, but it didnt work out for me. I settled on a car off the lot, but at least it was only there for a day or two before I got it. I just wasnt positioned to do it sooner, and once I was, made an impulse buy. Perhaps on the enxt one as well, but it wont be for at least two years until I see the new vert and decide.

I got the C6 I wanted. My next step is most likely a 2013-14 C7 in 2020 :-)

The sooner they retool and get the 7's rolling the sooner I get my used 7. I'm guessing 24 months for me.

With this economy and lack of skill in our government I think my current Vette will be the last one for a long time to be honest.

The dream is not quite ready for bed yet - with over 6,000 new C6's in inventory, there are still going to be lots of threads popping up on here as people take deliveries. Probably about 6 months of C6 inventory to be sold . . . . don't shoot the messenger

I plan to upgrade my 2006 Vert with Z51 to a 2013 427 Vert in about 4 years. Please keep them nice shape for me. I will be looking for a nice low miles garage queen to turn into a DD!

So, if I can't have one delivered at the museum, then I'm glad no one can! That's the message eh?

Same here. With my third in college and one more starting next year I'm afraid to spend on anything big. Happy with my Museum delivery 06.

And along that same line, no one actually needs a Vette...so maybe it would be best to just tax everyone to the point that they can't afford a Vette. Fair share and all....

Don't give up your dream for a Corvette.
At 24 I almost got my first, but it wasn't to be.
Then at 25 married, kids, house, start a business, always something.
It took me 40 years to finally say nows My Time.
First ( at 64 ) was a 2009 CRM C6 vert A6.
Now ( at 68 ) its a 2013 CRM 60th 427 vert.
Next at ( 72 ) ? ? ?

It doesn't matter at what age you buy a Corvette, just that you do.

I was 54 when I was finally able to walk into a Chevy dealership and drive out in a new 'Vette...

Some dreams take a little longer....
