I specify 2005 because we have "special" ballasts that no other model has...and I've blown 3 (Three) ballasts now in 27 months with my 6000k HID bulbs from one of the vendors.

I just want to make sure nobody else is having this issue before I put them back in. (Swapped everything out when troubleshooting, returned to stock for the last month and really liked the 6000s better)

Check with Gene Culley/GMPartsHouse for confirmation, but I believe the newer ballast can be used in the '05 but the connector is different.

If you are handy you may be able to swap/modify the plug to make the new ballast work.

Are the 6000k D1S lamps rated at the same wattage as the OEM?

I've had mine in my '05 for just under a year now (6000K) and I've had zero problems with the ballasts.
