Shift points (RPM) manual trans. ?
Just wondering what are your shift points (RPM) for manual trans. for just regular driving, (no heavy foot here), to get respectable gas mileage.
I seem to use the 2700 for reasonable shift point, going by engine sound.

Not sure what your RPMs would be, but on page 9-30 of your owner's manual, it says for best mileage to shift at 15 MPH, 25 MPH, 40 MPH, 45 MPH, and 50 MPH.
RPM-wise (no Z51 tranny), that would translate to approximately 1750, 1950, 2300, 2000, and 1600 RPM.

I drive mine like Old Man River. I typically shift between 2,000 to 2,500 to obtain optimal fuel mileage and to be easy on it.
On the way back from Bowling Green last June I averaged 30 mpg. Low 20's in short trip/city driving.

I don't even look at my RPM's unless I'm racing. That being said, I probably shift right around 2500-2800, 2400, 2400, 1800, 1500. Just judging by the feel of the car. This is a Z51 car.

For regular driving around 2500 RPM's otherwise redline for fun.

These cars are torque monsters, so no need to go much over 2,000 rpm just to get down the city streets if thinking of fuel conservation.
Personally exceeding 3,000 rpm is rather hot footing for myself, very seldom exceed 4,000 rpm. I run 4:10's.
Now there are times when all the above is thrown out the window and this usually occurs in the mountains a few times a year.
These cars under hot foot are really too fast for where I live. Freeway on ramps are about the only safe place if clear.
I usually shift between 1,800 and 2,500 when just cruising around with no real intent.

2000-2500 usually, I focus more on instant mileage readout once I'm over 40 or so and base gear selection on that mostly. I average low 20s in town and 30s on the road easily and still have fun

All these "I've never taken my car past 4500rpm"-type responses give me quite a headache. Time to trade the 'Vette in for a Lincoln Continental I'd say, if you're not even making use of the Corvette at least ONCE in a while.

Have to agree the man has a point. All that power, torque, handling and no pushing it now and then. Why not????
