Default Power Window (Convertible) Problem

My passenger side power window does not seem to close after you open and shut the door. It is the convertible feature I am assuming when you open the door the window goes down slightly and then back up when you shut the door. The driver side is fine and the window goes back in place when I use the button on either side.

Any ideas what is wrong or is this only fixed by the dealer?

Thanks
Todd

try re-indexing the window. with acc on, hold up on pass window button. when it reaches the top, release button, then pull up on button again for 3 seconds. release and pull again for 3 more seconds. should be good. It's in the manual if i'm off on the procedure

Do this while sitting in the car with both doors closed.

Thank You for this post.
I just had a similar problem with both my windows after having the battery disconnected for several weeks for modifications.
I followed their directions and they work perfectly now.

Resetting the window indexing will ALWAYS need to be done after every car battery reconnect (or replace) after a disconnect.

My window seems to have indexed itself after my battery swap. Don't know how, but I never had to perform the indexing procedure.

I had a problem with my power top not working properly. I bought the car w/1600 miles on the odo. Took it to the dealer, tech said that's an easy one. Battery must have went dead. He indexed the windows, and the top worked fine. Who knew....

Hey Rebel Yell,

Happy to see you got a good tech who knew how to take care of the issue right away!
