Default Handling Numbers

Since I just got the car people are impressed with the handling but when asking for numbers I really don't know what they are?

All I find googling around are the Z51 and Grand Sport (e.g. Z51 part deux). Anyone care to post a source that shows what it pulls on the skid pad slalom and whatnot???

Basically for the 2008-2013 years.

I don't even know what the Z51 and GS numbers are supposed to be, can you post them?

Of course, an accurate comparison would need to be done on the same skid pad and same day/temperature, but I'll take anything you got.

If I remember correctly, the '08 Z51 had a skid pad number of .95g and the Gs was up to 1.0g.

That's the best I could fine which kind of goes along with what you said.

Without pushing it too hard I got 0.93g the other day on the car's meter taking a "spirited" turn and it's a non-Z51 2010.

So if anyone's got better that'd be awesome for a source!

I just happened to be looking in my 2013 corvette brochure and for the GS it does say 1.0G for the skidpad.

Two weeks ago we were driving the "Moonshiner 28" through SC/GA/NC. I got into one long turn that looked like a constant radius but turned out to be decreasing radius toward the end. That resulted in my G-meter recording (I looked later!) 1.07G that was sustained for several seconds, to stay in my lane. 2009 Z51 on well used Michelin PS2 ZP runflats. I've seen readings up to 1.12 in brief lunges during parking lot testing on the original Supercars, but not sustained.

You should take those numbers with a grain of salt; road conditions, road camber, temperature, etc can make a huge difference either plus or minus. The next time, the car might slide off the road at a much lower number.
