Default Question for those with Duralast batteries......

The negative post on my Duralast battery seems to be slightly less diameter than the positive post. When I tighten the oem cable clamp as tight as it will go, it will still turn on the post when the cable is turned. I think this may be a problem with car not starting ocassionally and sending strange messages on the DIC. BTW, I have installed COH's column lock bypass. Anyone else notice smaller negative battery post?

Didn't know - but figured cable ends should accommodate.

all batteries are like that. the posts are also cone shaped, make sure you pushed the terminal all the way down so it tightens up.

Did that, but still won't tighten to a point where it doesn't turn on post. Thanks for responses everyone. Guess I have a terminal problem, not a battery post problem.

also make sure you didn't lose the cone-shaped nut for tightening the cables. without it, you'll be tightening a loose cable.

Cone-shaped nut still there but loosening and tightening nut doesn't seem to change diameter of terminal.
