I drove the Nurburgring today!
I made a trip to my local racetrack today, some of you may have heard of it before it’s called “Nurburgring!” I had and absolutely amazing time today not just driving the track but also watching all the other cars. There was a wide variety of cars from your everyday driver to exotic super cars. One lap around this monster cost roughly $30 which was the best money I have ever spent. I learned very fast that I am not by any means a racecar driver but I had one hell of a time pretending I was a pro. I thought I would share some of my pics and as you can see there were a few Corvettes there too!

Drifting
Awesome! I was there last September and I agree it was one of most amazing experiences of my life. I did 13 laps and think about it almost everyday.
Congrats on a great experience!

That's the coolest mix of cars I've ever seen! That van in one of the photos is MAD! Probably has a twin turbo Mercedes V-12 in it! These Bavarians are crazy! (I can say that because I live with one!).

Do I take it that in Germany there are open roads that you can run at whatever speed you want? Saw your video at 168 MPH.

I really hate you! Just kidding! Nurburgring is an amazing track. I was stationed at Spangdahlem AB for a total of 8 years.
And yes, there is no speed limit in some areas of the autobahn. Google Corvette Autobahn on Youtube. There are some great videos out there. One of my favorites is a Z06 doing about 186, catching up on cars doing 120mph like they are going backwards.
Notice how great they drive over there though and how smooth the roads are.

A vast majority of the Autobahn has no speed limit but trying to find a time of day that's not packed with traffic is a different story. I made took that video on an early morning Sunday!
