With my C5, it came with aftermarket chrome repros on it and I never could get them to balance right. Ended up getting some hubcentric rings for them and that helped a little but they were never perfect and it always bothered me. The appearance of the wheel was very good though.
I want to do something with the wheels on my C6, and was thinking of repros but this thread has got me rethinking that idea now. I didn't think I would, but I am actually really liking the look of the stock wheels on my 05, however they are badly scratched and have some curb rash on them. That's the main reason I want to do something different, but now I'm thinking the best thing to do might just be to have these wheels refinished. It would probably still cost a lot less than even the cheapest of repros out there.

The problem with a question like this is if 100 people buy repo wheels and 95 of them have no issues, most of them probably won't care to post about it. But those 5 with the bad experience sure will. I got my repo cup wheels from Bob's and I have no issues and couldn't be happier. Sure they weight more but unless you drag race your car a lot it shouldn't matter.
