No I don't much like the paddle shifter. It is however a Great sales feature. When I bought my car it had to have it. But.......me thinks it's a POS. On my 4L60e cars I can control the trans by where I plant my foot on the gas pedal. With this 6 speed auto I cannot do that easily, think I will need to have a Tuner get into the box so that I have better control. I like a manual but it is just too much work for a DD for me, a weekend toy would be good but that is not what my vette is. I like the car so I drive the hell out of it.

just tells me auto is the preferred way to go. what do you think only germans drive porsche's? no! let's give credit to the computerized auto shift tranny. after all, they came a long way. and it's only going to get better.

Like it or not, this is true. Yes, the 911 GT3, Porsche's version of the ZR-1, gets the auto/manual paddle shifting dual clutch transmission. Even though it appears GM is committed to the 8 speed auto for the 2014 Cadillac CTS twin turbo, it appears Tadge has backed away from it for the time being. That may be good news to manny fans cause I read where Porsche tested and tweaked the GT3's transmission for 4 years before going live with it. But in my speaking with some who race Corvettes for a living in competition with Porsche, they are very much hoping GM evolves its transmission technology in the C7. And yes, that means an auto clutch 6+ speed.
