Mt Lemmon, AZ run scheduled for 7/17/2010
Well, we are going to have multiple days with temps in excess of 111 here in the Phoenix metro...so someone got smart and started planning our annual pilgramage up Mt Lemmon in Tucson, AZ.
I know a bunch of AZ vettes wanted to go on the Greer, AZ run earlier this year, and last year's Mt Lemmon run had over 55+ Vette's of different generations make the beautiful (and cooler) drive last year.
If you're interested in making the drive this year, Mike (DSOM4ME) has started a new thread in the S.W Regional section with details.

It sounds like somewhat of a hot drive from Phoenix but it'll be nice once you get some elevation up the Catalina Mountains (to Mt. Lemmon). You should contact the Tucson Corvette Club and see if they want to participate. I imagine some Tucson Corvette guys would love to join you. It should be a blast...Mt. Lemmon is wonderful in the summe!.

It sounds like somewhat of a hot drive from Phoenix but it'll be nice once you get some elevation up the Catalina Mountains (to Mt. Lemmon). You should contact the Tucson Corvette Club and see if they want to participate. I imagine some Tucson Corvette guys would love to join you. It should be a blast...Mt. Lemmon is wonderful in the summe!.
We will eat at the El Molinito's at Pantano and Wrightstown this time.
If you didn't hookup with us last year you should think about running this year !
Hopefully some CF members belong to the Tucson Corvette group and pass on this drive to them...the more the merrier

Living in Scottsdale, I'd do it. Unfortunately (kidding, of course), on that day I will be enjoying a trip through Mt. Rushmore/Custer State Park, and other places.

We try to post events in the S.W Region thread but aren't very consistent about it. Hopefully you get a chance to go on the next cruise

I know that several Phoenix guys are planning on a overnight stay in Tucson again this year...I believe they are staying at La Paloma again.

Room rates are $99/night at La Paloma Resort in Tucson !!! Quite a few of us are staying overnight, so maybe dinner at El Corral would be in order

Come on down !!!
Last year we had a CF member from as far as Oklahoma in his C6 Z06 join in as he was making a cross country drive

Man I wish I could go. I lived in Tucon from 64-66 when Dad was in the Air Force. We had those mountains in the background. We took the trip up Mt Lemon back then and we still have some of the home movie of that trip which captures a new GTO. Doing it with a Vette would be awesome.
