Default removing wheel weights

I am looking at replacing the tires on my C6 next week.
Before bringing the vehicle to the dealership, I would like to remove the wheel weights and clean the rims.

Any suggestions on how to get the sticky weights off without damaging the rim surfaces?

soak them with goo gone or carb cleaner in a spray can. Use the little tube that should be tapped to the can. That will soften the glue. Then use dental floss under the weights. This is going to be a pita with the wheels on the car unless you have a lift.

Removing the weight shouldn't be a problem. A paint prep - Silicon/Wax remover will remove the glue. Should be interesting how your car's tires will jump around on your trip to the tire store.

Scrape them off with a plastic putty knife. Then use brake kleen and a rag to remove the glue.

Try 3M adhesive after knocking off the weights.
